I have just jotted them down into a list, for myself. I highly suggest listening to the whole Sermon to fully understand our responsibilities and each point, that has been mentioned by our beloved Imam.
Firstly Hazoor said that we can only benefit from the new year if we assess our behavior and assess if we have fulfilled our rights as being an Ahmadi. These resolutions are basic summary of the 10 Conditions of Bai’at.
- Save yourself from shirk.
- Become truthful.
- Don’t turn away from God for worldly gain.
- Stay away from adultery and fornication.
- Restrain from trespassing of the eye. Keep your gaze lowered.
- Stay away from wickedness and immorality.
- Stay away from injustice and cruelty.
- Do not be dishonest.
- Safeguard yourself from disorder and mischief.
- Save yourself from rebellious ways.
- Safeguard yourself from carnal passion.
- Pray all 5 daily prayers.
- Fill mosques with worshipers.
- Offer Tahajjud Prayers regularly.
- Send Duroood upon the Prophet (pbuh).
- Do Istighfar regularly.
- Always remember Allah’s Favours - Be Grateful.
- Praise God - remain ever engrossed in Hamd.
- Do not cause harm to the creation of Allah.
- Do not harm Muslims due to egoistic passions.
- Forgiveness and Forbearance should be practiced.
- Meekness and humility should be adopted.
- Remain Faithful to God in all circumstances.
- Refrain from practicing un-islamic rituals and customs.
- Never follow your evil inclinations and desires.
- Follow the teachings of the Holy Quran.
- Follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
- Give up Arrogance and Pride.
- Adopt Humbleness.
- Always remain cheerful.
- Spend your life in forbearance and meekness.
- Deen over Dunya (hold your faith over worldly goods)
- Serve the creation of Allah - benefit mankind.
- Be a devoted and obedient follower of the Promised Messiah.
May God overlook our weaknesses of last year and enable us this year to make utmost efforts to mold our lives according to the expectations of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace).
