The 4 routines you need in your life.

The 4 routines you need in your life.

Routines for me are crucial. If i would not have any routine I would probably be running around like a mad women trying to get everything done at once and probably - No actually for sure - not get anything not at all. Having a Routine does not mean that it will always go the way you plan it or that you have to check off everything on it. It will serve you as a guide on how to be the most productive for yourself. Evening routine: Start with planning your evening first, as they will help you to have a head-start for the next day. Keep it simple and ask yourself:

How can you prepare today to help myself for the next day ? What are the things you can do to prepare. I like to start my evening routine after I put the kids to bed. starting with a 10 minute tidy up and cleaning my kitchen for 15 minutes. That way I have a clean house in the morning to wake up to. I lay out my journals, my book and my laptop to have easy access to them in the morning. Morning routine Now that we have set ourselves up for success for our mornings the night before lets plan the morning. My number 1 tip to mothers is, to wake up before your kids. even if it is just 15 minutes before. Wake up on your own terms and have a little bit peace and quiet in the morning to get yourself ready, Let alone use the washroom in peace. I lie to wake up around Fajr time and then stay up. So my mornings look a bit like this. Wake up, Wudhu, pray, Holy Quran, writing/Journal. and then i like to read or write or anything else creative for myself, before one of my little ones wake up.

Daily routine By now we have established your morning and evening, to have a head start into the day and a finishing end. What do we do now between morning and evenings? Ask yourself: What time do my kids come home? what time does my husband come home? When do I want to have dinner ready? Anything else that is reoccurring in my daily life that I need to in-calculate?

For me I know vaguely what I want to get done when. Preferably I want to have the cleaning done by 12 pm, serve lunch before 1 and start cooking dinner by 3pm. In that way Dinner is ready by 5pm. By having a structured day I know when to get what done so I don't feel overwhelmed nor guilty when I have downtime.
Cleaning routine
Having a cleaning routine will help you to limit the amount of cleaning on a daily basis. It will create a system and it will take a load of your mind. My Routine looks something like this:

So by having this schedule I don't feel overwhelmed by the amount of work, as I'll know what I am doing when and that everything will get done at it's time. I do a quick clean everyday in all these rooms, but deep cleaning happens on each of their allocated days, This way I dont start doing everything at once and I limit my cleaning to max.2 hours a day.
