🔍 How I Discovered It
It is quite a famouse book right now, so I saw it here and there and everywhere.
🧠 Thoughts
What I Liked About It
I am in love with the concept of the book. I loved how the Author displayed how childhood trauma affects you into adulthood. The way the author connected natural instincts and normal human behavior, proving that though we say that we are "civilized", we still very much act according to natures law. The way she painted a picture of someone who is in a abusive relationship. Victim mindset and perpetrator mindset. She was too ashamed to open up about her abuse, because she thought she had deserved it. It was her own fault no one would help her. Her character has been has been portrayed in such a way that you understand and empathize
What I Didn't Like About It
This is the only thing that I didn't like and I am saying that as a modest Muslim women.
Some scenes of their lovemaking were far too descriptional for my liking. I probably wouldn't have needed them, but then again I know the author just wanted to paint a picture for her longing for love.
🥰 Who Would Like It?
Nature lovers. someone who would want to understand what loneliness is.
